Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great xmas & new year. Hopefully Santa sent a lovely gift your way, maybe a sewing machine, book or sewing box or perhaps some fabric or even a gift voucher.
I have my beautiful little family home from Orange & am loving every minute of it, even the 6-6.30am visits into our bed from little Chase. Nothing like a big cuddle first thing in the morning. Also I think he has cottoned to the fact that he just about has nanny wrapped around his finger!!!
So I have only worked a couple of days since Chrissie, thanks to Susan for helping me out.
But there has been a delivery of a rather pretty fabric range from Dear Sella. The range retails for $24.00pm & has 6 bolts of co-ordinating fabric.
It has beautiful vivid colours & bold designs.
Must say it reminds me very much of 70's fabric & of a pair of hot pants that were teamed with a matching dress in particular that mum made for me when I was about 13.
Check out our window as I am going to pop it in for you to see.
This weeks book review is Sunday Morning Quilts
This is a lovely book & puts a new modern twist on using up all those gorgeous scraps that you just can't part with.
It walks you through the processes of Sorting Colours, Storage, & Design.
It teaches you Quilt Construction from the very beginning to the finishing touches of turning a pieced top into a quilt, including putting your backing & wadding all together, basting, quilting & to finally bind.
Obviously lots of you would already know these steps but then there are 16 completed projects for you to make.
Beautiful fresh & simple designs that will inspire you to dig out those scraps.
Or sit on your verandah on a Sunday Morning with a coffee or tea with this book on you knee & enjoy!!!
